Alltagsgeschichte in Linz

02.01.2008

The next installment in the Kopfstand 09 series will focus on Alltagsgeschichte, a form of microhistory dealing with everyday life. Linz09 cordially invites you to attend on January 29.

The History Club of voestalpine AG was founded 20 years ago. Its members work on a volunteer basis to catalog historical photos and documents about the history of voestalpine and the steel plant’s location. Carrying on the tradition of historical workshops that deal with local history and the still-extant links between past and present, voestalpine’s History Club maintains an archive and a permanent exhibit. Club members will get together with Roman Sandgruber, professor of social and economic history at the University of Linz, to discuss Linzer Alltagsgeschichte.

Coming Attraction: Featured guest at the next Kopfstand get-together on February 25, 2008 is Robert Garcia, artistic director of Luxemburg 2007.
