04.02.2008

The last newsletter included an item about “Linz Status Quo,” a Linz09 project that’s inviting internationally renowned architectural critics to evaluate the current state of architecture and urban planning in Linz. Now, the event dates have been finalised.

The guest critics are Shumon Basar (London), Angelika Schell (Innsbruck/Berlin) and Roemer von Toorn (Amsterdam). All three will formulate their points of view in essays. To kick off this project, they’ll be publicly briefed by local experts all of whom have many years of experience with urban development processes in Linz.

Saturday, 9th February 2008, 12 Noon to 5 p.m.
afo architekturforum oberösterreich, Prunerstr. 12, 4020 Linz

In early March, the critics will discuss the significance of architectural criticism during a symposium.
Friday, 7th March 2008, 6 p.m.
afo architekturforum oberösterreich, Prunerstr. 12, 4020 Linz

Admission to both events is free of charge.
