Round 3 is set for June 13. In LINZ STATUS QUO III: THE DEBATE, three international architectural critics will scrutinize Linz’s urban development and architectural heritage.

LINZ STATUS QUO, a three-part series of events being staged by Linz09, kicked off in February 2008. Three internationally renowned architectural critics, Shumon Basar (London), Angelika Schnell (Berlin / Innsbruck) and Roemer van Toorn (Amsterdam), were invited by Bart Lootsma (NL) to assess the current state of architecture and urban planning in Linz and vicinity from an independent, outside point of view.

At the final session, a public discussion to be held on Friday, June 13, 2008, they’ll be doling out censure as well as praise, and taking a look at the present and future of Linz and its surrounding region. In four panels, moderated by the architectural journalist Ute Woltron, local experts will react to the critics’ input.
