Linz09 is Crossing Borders
Linz09 made another of its many appearances abroad this week. Host city was Cologne.
Together with the Linz City Tourist Board and Blue Danube Airport, Linz09 held a briefing about the Capital of Culture year including a rundown of the program’s focal-point themes. The Upper Austrian delegation is cooperating with KölnTourismus to increase travel between the two regions. In the campaign to raise Linz’s profile as a tourism destination in this part of Germany, one excellent sales angle is Cologne’s close proximity to the Ruhr District, which will be Capital of Culture region in 2010.
