The last concert on the Linz Europa Tour will be on August 31 in Passau, Germany. For fans in Linz, though, there’ll be a couple of encores …

On September 1, the tug and barge flotilla will make its way back to its home port, Linz. And even this return trip will be a musical journey. Beginning at about 3:15 PM, Hubert von Goisern and his crew will be playing their tour programme’s greatest hits from their floating stage. Fans on the banks of the Danube along Donaulände in downtown Linz are in for a real treat. Immediately afterwards, the end of the Linz Europa Tour will be a physical fact. At Linz Dry Dock, the tug, MS Wallsee, will be separated from the barge, Brandner IV, which will be stripped of its concert infrastructure and returned to duty transporting gravel.
Hubert von Goisern will be back in Linz on September 25, 2008 for a chat with Linz09 Artistic Director Martin Heller in which he’ll relate some of his memorable experiences over the last few months and review his term as the Capital of Culture’s goodwill ambassador. And then there’s the big reunion concert set for July 3-5, 2009: all the artists that Hubert von Goisern worked with over the course of his tour will get together in Linz for a Harbour Festival.
