Linz09 is making its presence felt all over Europe – holding a number of press conferences at different European locations and making sure it is seen and heard at EU institutions and embassies.

The EU is one of Linz09's most important partners. In recognition of this there is to be a presentation of the Linz 2009 undertaking, the present state of planning and a precis of some of the actual projects in Brussels. Office holders with a background in city, state, federal and EU politics will be taking part, including Linz’s Deputy Mayor, Dr. Erich Watzl, and Upper Austria's governor, Dr. Josef Pühringer. Guests of honour will be the Federal Minister for Education, Culture and the Arts, Dr. Claudia Schmied, and the Commissioner responsible for External Relations and European Neighbourhood Policy, Dr. Benita Ferrero-Waldner.
The platform offered by Austria's National Day on 26 October will be used to showcase Linz09 in embassies all over Europe: in Budapest, The Hague, Lisbon, Prague, Bratislava, Vilnius, Strasbourg, Paris, Oslo, Ljubljana, Munich, Berlin, Bern and Vienna.
