Capital of Culture Conclave in Linz

ECoC is the network of past, present and future European Capitals of Culture. On October 23-24, organizers got together in Linz for a lively exchange of ideas.

27 representatives from Liverpool (2008), Stavanger (2008), Vilnius (2009), Pecs (2010), Istanbul (2010), Turku (2011), Tallin (2011), Guimares (2012), Kosice (2013), Marseille (2013), Maribor (2012) and the Ruhr District (2010) gathered in Linz, Europe’s upcoming Capital of Culture, to take advantage of their predecessors’ experience and to consider joint strategies. These ECoC meetings have been staged since 2006, each time at a different location. The conferences’ aim is to provide a setting for mutual support and to enable members to learn from one another.
