Fascinating Science in the Kepler Salon

Kepler's house in the Rathausgasse
17.06.2009

The former residence of astronomer Johannes Kepler in Linz’s Rathausgasse has been serving as a setting for discussions about science this year. Each week, the Kepler Salon invites experts to deliver addresses and participate in Q&A sessions about a wide variety of scientific fields and issues. The program of events lined up for the 3rd quarter of 2009 is now online.

The Kepler Salon attracted almost 3,500 visitors during the first two quarters of the year. The presentations dealt with a wide range of topics: astronomy, biology, theology, medicine, sports, philosophy and art history. But the Kepler Salon is by no means a place for dry-as-dust theoretical inculcation; the approach taken here puts the accent on informal, real-life encounters with scientific themes. The program of events lined up for the 3rd quarter of 2009 is now online at www.kepler-salon.at.
