Relationships between different religious faiths are often characterized by a very high potential for friction. In most cases, this is due to erroneous perceptions, superficial knowledge and prejudices. Nevertheless, Jews, Christians and Moslems share a lot more than one might initially think. The ABRAHAM’S HEIRS project is hosting a conversational and musical trialog among the three largest Abrahamic religions.

A variety of cultures and religions make Linz what it is today. And it’s precisely in places where people of different faiths live side by side that recognition of and respect for “the other” are called for. ABRAHAM’S HEIRS is staging discussions focusing on the three main Abrahamic religions: Judaism, Christianity and Islam. Experts will go into sensible strategies for successful coexistence and elaborate on what exactly these three religions have in common. The second evening will showcase religious musical diversity: a Klezmer group, a Christian ensemble and an Islamic chorus will take turns in the spotlight.
