In the wake of his highly successful LINZ EUROPA TOUR EAST, Hubert von Goisern is once again taking the Sound of Europe on tour with a floating stage. Before he embarks on this year's westbound musical journey, there’ll be a public showing of „Goisern Goes East. The Linz Europa Tour East 2007”, the ORF – Austrian Broadcasting Company’s documentary of the 2007 tour, on OK Platz in Linz on June 24, 2008.

On the first leg of the Linz Europa Tour (June-September 2007), Hubert von Goisern and his band headed downstream on the Danube to the Black Sea. His mission: to serve as goodwill ambassador of Europe’s 2009 Capital of Culture. And beyond that—to stage musical encounters with local artists that enable audiences to experience and feel the diversity of European culture, its unique features and regional varieties.
On Friday, June 27, 2008, Hubert von Goisern will be setting off on his westbound journey via the Rhine-Main-Danube Canal to Rotterdam. 30 concert dates are scheduled until the end of August. Joining Hubert von Goisern along the way will be top musicians from all over the continent, including Konstantin Wecker, Xavier Naidoo, BAP, Rambo Amadeus, Zdob Si Zdub and Karandila.
