Arrival by car

From the direction of Salzburg and Vienna on the Westautobahn A1 motorway, from Linz junction on the Mühlkreisautobahn A7 motorway, exit Linz/Zentrum or Linz/Hafenstraße.
From the direction of Prague, Freistadt on the Mühlkreisautobahn A7 motorway direction of Linz junction, exit Linz/Hafenstraße.
From the direction of Regensburg, Passau on the Innkreisautobahn A8 motorway to the A1, from the Linz junction to the Mühlkreisautobahn A7 motorway, exit Linz/Zentrum or Linz/Hafenstraße. Toll-free from the direction of Regensburg, Passau along the Danube on the B 127.

Parking in Linz

To make it easier to find a parking space, an automated parking guidance system has been set up. The City of Linz is divided into three zones: Urfahr (green), Downtown East (red) and Downtown West (yellow).
Underground garages and parking decks in Linz

On the occasion of the 2009 Capital of Culture year, special visitor-friendly parking rates are being offered by Real-Treuhand’s six underground garages and parking decks in Linz.

  • Garage am Domplatz (Cathedral Square)

The following special discount rates will remain in effect from December 31, 2008 through and including December 31, 2009:

Monday through Sunday from 6:30 p.m. until 6 a.m.:
Visitors are charged the reduced rate of €2.20 including sales tax (so-called Linz09 Night Rate).

Sunday 6 p.m. until Monday 6 a.m.:
Visitors are charged the reduced rate of €5 including sales tax (so-called Linz09 Sunday Rate).
