A group portrait of unparalleled proportions is being staged by Ars Electronica on September 15, 2007.

A small airplane will cruise over Linz and take 4,400 photographs of the city. The entire city! These high-resolution images will capture details down to the size of a piece of standard printer paper. This is a great opportunity to immortalize oneself; potential means of expression include banners, human chains, text messages or simply a friendly gesture directed to the heavens. It all happens on Saturday, September 15 from 10 AM to 2 PM. For details, go to www.aec.at/gruppenfoto.

This event is a spin-off of “Goodbye Privacy,” the theme of Ars Electronica 2007. This year's festival (September 5-11) is an encounter with the latest manifestations of a culture of everyday life situated at the nexus of angst-inducing scenarios of seamless surveillance and the zest we bring to publicly staging our personas online.
