The rules of music are at the centre of the festival ‘Stop.Spot! 2007’ at the OK Offenes Kulturhaus Oberösterreich. The laws pertaining to music anchor it in several of the most diverse systems. The social relevance of music is readily agreed on by everyone; its mathematical aspects, while much less immediately obvious, can yet be demonstrated through musical theory and a number of phenomena of cultural history. Last not least the ‘Stop.Spot! 2007’ will focus on the economic factors underlying music, the music industry and the shaping of public opinion on music in the digital age. Presentations on 26th and 27th October at the OK Offenes Kulturhaus Oberösterreich will include lectures, installations, and of course a programme of performances by international musicians.For more information go to http://stopspot.servus.at
