Linz’s Neighbourhoods Are Getting Involved!

04.02.2008

All of Linz will have input into the Capital of Culture programme. Now, the well-received Round Table series designed to encourage grassroots participation is moving on to the next phase: outreach sessions in each city neighbourhood.

In November 2007, round tables under the aegis of Linz09 were held in Kleinmünchen and Neustadtviertel. Now, the “Capital of Culture Neighbourhood of the Month” project will be taking the planning process to the next level: moderated discussions to inform interested local residents about how they can make their mark on the Capital of Culture. Projects submitted from the individual neighbourhoods will be evaluated by a jury, which will then select those to be produced. A € 10,000 production budget will be made available to each neighbourhood.
