Linz09 and the Festival of Regions will be working together in 2009. Recently, the festival theme was announced and the call went out for project submissions.
“Normalzustand” (Normality) is the title of the 2009 installment of this festival that has been produced every two years since 1993. This time, the focus is on location-specific housing projects and developments. The geographic centre of gravity will be the satellite town of Auwiesen and SolarCity on the southern outskirts of Linz. What conceptions of public spiritedness and society do people have here? 20th April 2008 is the deadline for submitting project proposals in the areas of art in public spaces, performance, cultural mediation, etc. Details are available online at www.fdr.at
