The artistic exploration of subterranean Linz will continue. By popular demand, the “Tiefenrausch” exhibition in the Aktienkeller has been extended until July 31.

This exhibition in the Aktienkeller underground tunnel system treats a cluster of themes having to do with remembering and forgetting. Among the works on display in these passageways—some up to six meters high—are those alluding to the historical dimension of this place that once served as the city’s largest air-raid shelter during World War II. These tunnels now provide a striking setting for contemporary art: sound and light installations, pieces of sculpture and objects, projections and videos.

Opening Hours: 10 AM to 7:30 PM daily; Wednesdays until 10 PM
General Tours: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, 5 PM; Wednesday, 8 PM; Friday, 6 PM; Saturday, 1 PM; Sunday, 11 AM
