Tiefenrausch has concluded its successful run in Linz. Two of the exhibition’s projects are now on display at a couple of Upper Austria’s foremost tourist destinations.

Two Tiefenrausch productions are now among the featured attractions of “Salzkammergut,” this year's Upper Austrian Province Expo. They’ll be running until November 2, 2008 in Gmunden on Lake Traun and at the entrance to the Dachstein Ice Caves. “SGM Iceberg Probe” by German artist Agnes Meyer-Brandis is a project situated at the nexus of art and science. This sub-glacialis montometer probe designed to study subterranean life forms and ecosystems is steered through a 120-meter-deep borehole.
“Bubbels” is the title of Pepi Maier’s installation in Lake Traun near Schloss Ort castle in the town of Gmunden. Mysterious rings of bubbles emerge from the depths of the lake. Their origins are unclear, and they’re a source of bewilderment to those who behold them. What in the world could this phenomenon be? What’s the secret behind it? Accompanying “Bubbels” are poems by local author and graphic artist Walter Pilar. His visually enhanced lyric artistry is an idiosyncratic take on dialect, mythology and the unique features that make the Salzkammergut region such a special place.
