Opening of “Linz Texas” in Graz

25.09.2008

After a runtime in Vienna the exhibition's “Linz Texas – A City Relates “ premiere at the Stadtmuseum Graz is on September 25. The centerpiece: the imagined worldwide affinities of Linz as “prototypical middle-size city.”

What does Linz have in common with Haifa, Wolfsburg or Galati? Which Linzer qualities can also be found in Moscow, Manchester or Davos? “Linz Texas” seeks and finds answers to these questions in surprising juxtapositions. Now, as is certainly fitting for an exhibition about urban life, “Linz Texas” is moving on. Following a successful run at Architekturzentrum Wien, it opens in Graz on September 25.
The exhibition catalogue, “Linz Texas – A City relates”, a lavishly illustrated collection of essays and theoretical texts, is published by Springer Verlag.
