One of the world’s great contemporary authors pays his respects to his deceased colleague. On February 12 in Linz, Louis Begley will read from Thomas Bernhard’s works.

World-renowned author Louis Begley is a passionate devotee of Bernhard. On Thursday, February 20, 2009, the 20th anniversary of the Austrian writer’s death, the American author will honour his deceased colleague by reading from Bernhard’s works in Linz. The reading will be followed by a chat with Begley in English. Then Johannes Terne from Vienna’s Burgheater will read texts by Louis Begley and thereby round out an evening of world-class literature.
