Twelve Culture Pilots Show Us Their Subjective World

Kulturlotsinnen
29.04.2009

“Do you know Linz?” Linz09’s Culture Pilots ask—and in an impressive selection of languages, as a matter of fact! On April 29, these 12 female immigrants to Linz will take you along on a guided tour through the multicultural Linz Mitte neighborhood and show you “their city.”

The definitive feature of the district around Wiener Straße is its high proportion of immigrants. Native-born Austrians rarely get much more than a fleeting taste of vibrant everyday life in this part of town. Now, Culture Pilots invite locals and tourists alike to take a closer look. Be a guest in the subjective world of these women! This unconventional tour is your big opportunity for encounters with individuals, circumstances, origins, causes and facts, as well as your entrée into a culture that is constantly reinventing itself. The Culture Pilots are also excellent sources of information about what cultural life in Linz has to offer and the specific events on the Capital of Culture year lineup.
