For the absolutely, positively last time: How crazy is Linz?

THE ILL RABBIT has turned Linz topsy-turvy over the last few months—with exhibitions, projects, interventions and actions that were consistently a little bit “different.” And, after all, that was the whole point: To find out just how odd you can be in Linz, and how much craziness the Capital of Culture can handle! Now, we’re celebrating the bunny in high style one more time at the Grand Finale on October 10.

“I’m already here,” exclaimed the hedgehog to the hare in the Brothers Grimm fable, thereby declaring victory in the race against his speedy rival (granted, there was quite a bit of fraud involved). At the Grand Finale of THE ILL RABBIT, there’ll be no second heat involving the hedgehog and the hare; this time, they’ll be playing football, though according to some very odd rules. At the on-site betting parlor, visitors can place wagers on the outcome – and win real cash money if they pick the winner. The final day of the project also means it’s finally time to vote to determine once and for all how crazy Linz really is. You can cast your ballot online here. The gala celebration in Volksgarten on October 10 beginning at 2:30 PM features a fantastic football tournament, historic voting, kiting, a money fountain, a giant dwarf, talking animals, music and culinary treats. At 7 PM, the merrymaking moves to Kunstraum Goethestrasse xtd.
