New Trailer for Crossing Europe Film Festival
Crossing Europe has released a new festival trailer that’s currently running in movie theaters throughout Austria.
The new trailer has been made possible by cooperation between Linz09 and the Crossing Europe Film Festival Linz. Karo Szmit, a young photographer, animation artist and video filmmaker, was commissioned with the production. Szmit was born in 1978 in Warsaw and has lived in Austria since the late ‘80s. Since 1998, she’s been a student at the Linz Art University’s Department of Graphic Arts and Cultural Studies.Szmit’s new work succeeds a 2004 effort by Upper Austrian experimental filmmaker Siegfried A. Fruhauf. Not only will the new trailer open every festival screening; 50 copies are also running right now in first-run movie theaters throughout Austria to promote the festival.
