INTERDENOMINATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL ENCOUNTERS WITH ART. DORNACH GIVES THE SHIRT OFF ITS BACK.

Textile art will serve as a catalyst for members of different religious, cultural and generational groups to get to know each other. Sacred rooms will provide a peaceful setting for exhibitions of the works of the international textile artists Marga Persson, Fritz Riedl, Lee Chen- Hao and Chang Ming-Chi. Mingling artistic contexts with those of everyday life, the project “Dornach gibt sein letztes Hemd” (Dornach gives the shirt off its back) will involve locals introducing their favourite piece of clothing (20–23 April 2009). Students of textile art and design courses at the University of Arts Linz will be taking part in this project, presenting it to the public with a particular emphasis on young audiences.

Monday, April 20 to Thursday, April 23, 2009, 7 PM daily: Presentation of the project “Dornach Gives You the Shirt off Its Back”

Sunday, April 26, 2009, 9:30 AM, beginning at the KHG: the Protestant Church of Reconciliation, Holy Ghost Parish and KHG invite the public to attend a three-location worship service with musical accompaniment to be followed by a banquet in front of the Holy Ghost Church
