September 2009
Franckviertel, Hafenviertel

“A thousand and one stories from Franckviertel” comprises tales of the lives and everyday culture of this multiethnic neighbourhood’s inhabitants. From the poetical opening ceremony at Brunnenplatz on 4 September Franckviertel’s open spaces, from clothes poles to streets, squares and greens, will be transformed into a stage for one whole month. There will be symbols galore, photo galleries, drama groups. At the weekends the locals will be serving a “permanent franckviertel breakfast” to all comers. Capital Culture neighbourhood month ends on 26 September with an upbeat multinational picnic, games and a football fiesta.
