HOW DID THE SEAHORSE MAKE IT ALL THE WAY TO THE DANUBE?

Seen on a map, the outline of Alt-Urfahr resembles that of a seahorse blithely adrift in the Danube. During July the public space of Alt-Urfahr West, which corresponds to the seahorse’s belly and torso, will be pulsing with the vibrant life that reflects the heterogeneous structure of its inhabitants and will range from open-air film screenings in backyards and outdoor living rooms in streets and squares to the Fest der Kulturen (Festival of cultural diversity) on the Danube Embankment on 29/30 August. The opening will take place on 1 August 2009.
