Airan Berg, the man in charge of the performing arts at Linz09, was a member of the cultural delegation that accompanied Austrian President Heinz Fischer on a recent state visit to South Korea.
Airan Berg, currently the artistic director of Schauspielhauses Wien, one of Vienna’s premier theatrical venues, was a member of the cultural delegation that accompanied Austrian President Heinz Fischer on a recent state visit to South Korea. There, he and Austrian Minister of Education, Art and Culture Claudia Schmied met with several of their Korean counterparts including Minister of Culture and Tourism Kim Myung-gon. During this first visit to South Korea by an Austrian president, Airan Berg and other delegation members toured the Seoul Arts Center, which is collaborating with Schauspielhaus Wien as part of Austria and South Korea’s first artistic joint venture.
