Linz09 Composer Awarded the Province’s Culture Prize

Till Körber has been singled out for recognition with the Culture Prize of the Province of Upper Austria. Among the composer’s works is an oratorio for Linz09.

Till Alexander Körber teaches piano and piano chamber music at Anton Bruckner Private University in Linz. His work as a composer has been honored with numerous prizes, including the Austro Mechana, Guido d’Arezzo and the Austrian State Grant for Composition. Now, he’s been awarded the Culture Prize of the Province of Upper Austria in the Music category.
One of his compositions will be a highlight of the upcoming Capital of Culture year. The world premiere of Till Körber’s Linz09 oratorio “De Curru Igneo” will take place on May 28, 2009 in Linz’s Minorite Church.
