Streetcars Will Be Running throughout the Night of New Year’s Eve
LINZ AG offers the people of Linz comfortable and convenient transportation to New Year’s Eve festivities and back home again.
Streetcar service will be provided through the night and on into the morning. Details and timetables will be announced on December 22nd on theGenerally speaking, there will be streetcar service—wherever possible—throughout the night. In the area around Hauptplatz (Main Square) and the Nibelungen Bridge, LINZ AG will be providing bus service to replace the streetcar lines that cannot run due to the New Year’s Eve festivities.

New Year’s Eve/ New Year’s Day:
until 9 p.m.: LINZ AG LINES Regular scheduled service
9 p.m.: to 12:15 a.m.: Streetcars every 15 minutes (from Hauptbahnhof and from Sonnensteinstraße)
12:15 a.m. to 3:30 a.m.: Streetcars every 30 minutes (from Hauptbahnhof and from Sonnensteinstraße)
During these hours, streetcars will be replaced by bus service between Sonnensteinstraße and Hauptbahnhof. (Until 11 p.m., busses replacing suspended streetcar service will run at 7½-minute intervals; from 11 p.m. until 12:15 a.m. at 15-minute intervals between Hauptbahnhof and Sonnensteinstraße; and from 12:15 a.m. until about 3:30 at 30-minute intervals.)
