Hubert von Goisern and Music from East and West

Upper Austrian musician Hubert von Goisern toured Europe the past two summers with his band and crew traveling and performing aboard a tug-driven barge converted into a floating stage. In 2007, they sailed eastward to the Danube Delta; the 2008 destination was the North Sea. The grand finale of this musical journey will happen in July 2009 in Linz Harbor. Tickets are on sale now.

The Linz Europa Hafenfest will bring together all the artists that Hubert von Goisern encountered along both legs of his 2007-08 tour. This extravaganza being staged July 3-5, 2009 in Linz is a European musical conclave in the true sense of the word.

Advance ticketing for the three-day harbor festival begins Monday, January 19, 2009. Festival passes can be purchased online at this website, at all Ö-Ticket outlets and at Raiffeisenbank Oberösterreich branches (standing room €69, seating €89). Linz09 Insider, OÖ Familiencard, Aktivpass and Kulturpass cardholders are entitled to a discount when buying tickets in person. Raiffeisenlandesbank Oberösterreich offers Club members a 10% discount on standing-room tickets. Single-day tickets will go on sale March 3, 2009.
