Parade – Peripatetic Music from All Over the Planet

Parade
Copyright: Alex Davies
11.03.2009

A very special parade will be wending its way through Linz in early May. Three routes through peripheral parts of town will be accompanied by the tones of instruments from all around the world. This fascinating project is now online with its own website.

At www.linz09.at/parade-blog, you can get all the details about the strolls in the SolarCity neighborhood, the harbor district and on Linz’s Pöstlingberg mountain. You’ll also get the scoop on how to find out how it sounds when antelope horn players from Tonga jam with a traditional Austrian brass music band while a master drummer from the foothills of the Himalayas lays down the beat.
