30.03.2009

On Friday, you can travel the universe right inside the AEC! Spectacular images from the Hubble Telescope will be shown in "Deep Space". Stop by and experience breathtaking pictures of distant galaxies.

Deep Space is open to the public beginning at 7:30 PM. The new Ars Electronica Center’s high-definition gigapixel projector imparts a real impression of the endless reaches of outer space. But this is only the start of a very special event! Leading astrophotographers from all over Europe will be gathering in Linz April 3-5 for a conclave entitled Central European Deepsky Imaging Conference.
CEDIC is the first international meeting of this kind. Topics of discussion will range from photography using commercially available
SLR digital cameras under conditions of ambient light pollution all the way to infrared photography by the world’s largest high-performance telescopes.
Pre-registration is required to attend the conference. www.cedic.at
