Summer Concert on the Water’s Edge
So you thought the Parkbad was impossible as a cultural venue? The opposite is true. In early August the Parkbad’s open air pool will be the scene of a concert, fittingly entitled “Watermusic”.
It was compositions by Rudolf Jungwirth and George Crumb that gave the Bruckner Universität the idea for this concert. Both pieces contain the same performance direction: “This music is ideally heard from afar, across a lake, on a moonlit August night”. And this is how these pieces will be realized. The audience is seated on one side of the Parkbad pool, the musicians on the other. Travelling across the water, the sound will spread outwards to create the impression of a wide panorama. The concert will be performed by musicians from Linz and Vilnius.Watermusic
