The Good and Bad Sides of Everyday Family Life

Another Day with my Family
19.08.2009

“Another Day with My Family” is the next exhibition being staged in conjunction with “The Ill Rabbit // Crazy about Linz” project. An integral part of it is an indoor playground designed by Estonian artist Marko Mäetamm.

Rarely has it been possible to so seamlessly combine a visit to an exhibition with fun for the family’s youngest members. In “Another Day with My Family,” Marko Mäetamm sheds light on his relationship with his family and the dark side of everyday familial life—the fears, secrets and doubts. A stark contrast to this exhibition’s content is provided by an indoor playground set up especially for this show in Kunstraum Goethestrasse—thus jarringly juxtaposing a pessimistic view on the subject of family to happy children at play.
