Luxemburg 2007 will already be getting underway in December 2006

The upcoming year's European Capital of Culture festivities in Luxemburg and the surrounding region will be officially launched on December 9.

Museums and cultural institutions will be premiering new exhibitions, unveiling treasures from their archives and offering guided tours. The first spectacular show will feature Plasticien Volants. The French street theater group famous for their fantasy figures on a grand scale will parade through the city, while Groupe F provides the accompanying pyrotechnics and rhythms. The "Night of the Regions" venue is a giant tent with seating capacity for 4,000 partygoers. Top names in Luxemburg’s music scene will be getting together for a "Tribute to the Beatles." Lots of concerts, club galas and events round out a long night of great entertainment.
