linz09.at Features Barrier-Free Design
05.12.2006The new website was subjected to a whole battery of technical tests over recent weeks. Now, some very satisfying results are in: linz09.at is barrier-free.
The official homepage of Linz 2009 can be accessed by people with visual impairments too. All of the site’s programming and content have been set up so that they can be read aloud by special software or else printed out in Braille characters. Another important tool is navigation via keyboard; the interactive areas of the website also feature barrier-free design. linz09.at thus satisfies the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines’ criteria for Conformance Level A.
