Program Highlights of the Crossing Europe Film Festival

Linz will once again be the center of attention of the European film festival scene for a week this April. CROSSING EUROPE is screening approximately 150 outstanding works of auteur filmmaking. The accent is on Linz, Europe’s 2009 Capital of Culture.

CROSSING EUROPE will be contributing films, presentations and music to EXTRA EUROPA, a Linz09 project focusing on three European non-EU-member states: Turkey, Norway and Switzerland. Highlights include:

// Films and video art from Norway //
// Swiss tribute guests (Ursula Meier & Lionel Baier) as well as animated films from Festival Fantoche //

Plus, a new festival trailer entitled “repetition” has been created by Barbara Musil, the winner of last year's CROSSING EUROPE Local Artist Award.
