Tuesday, 11th December 2007, 20.20 Uhr
afo architekturforum oberösterreich –
An event staged in cooperation with Linz09

On 11th December, afo–Architecture Forum Upper Austria and Linz09 invited creatives to the second Pecha Kucha Night.

Twelve participants gathered at afo to take the Pecha Kucha challenge: 20 images, 20 seconds each. And they were joined by a large audience eager to find out what the excitement is all about.
Computer controlled, the images are projected in a sequence determined in advance by the presenter, who then has exactly 20 seconds to comment on each one.

Pecha Kucha means “gossip” in Japanese. It’s a quick and casual presentation format for creatives that’s currently proliferating worldwide.
At last night’s event, architects, a designer, an architectural photographer, two graphic artists and two media artists had the opportunity to showcase their concepts and thoughts in an open setting. The presentation portion of the evening was followed by a meet & greet featuring a buffet that the caterers—themselves no shirkers of an interesting challenge—succeeded in setting up in 20 times 20 seconds!

Participants:
Lorenz Potocnik, architect
Gunar Wilhelm and Tobias Hagleitner, architects
Michael Wildmann and Irene Prieler, architects
