Ulrich Fuchs, Linz09 Deputy Artistic Director and Head of Project Development

Born in Neustadt/Waldnaab, Germany; studied German language & literature, political science, history, sociology and theater arts; 1982, awarded doctorate by the FU Berlin; 1984-2005, instructor at the University of Bremen, 1993-96, instructor at the University of Mainz; 1984-2003, dramaturge at the Bremer Theater; 2000-04 head of the Music and Cultural Management Program at the Bremen University of Applied Sciences; since 2001, instructor at the University of Avignon; since 1998, various positions on the staff of Bremen’s Commissioner of Cultural Affairs; 2003-05, head of the project staff that managed Bremen’s candidacy for 2010 European Capital of Culture.
