Linz09 European Capital of Culture proudly presents Programme 2/3 “Sunny Side Up”

Programme 2/3 includes about 90% of all Linz09 projects. It provides details about the individual programme elements, event dates, times and venues, as well as a rundown of participating artists. It covers approximately 45 more projects than its predecessor, the first Linz09 programme that came out in Fall 2007, and also features an expanded services section. It’s a comprehensive source of information and an excellent basis of orientation both for productions this year and in the Capital of Culture year 2009.

Programme 2/3 is an expanded and more detailed version of its forerunner. In it, at least one page is dedicated to each of the approximately 150 Linz09 projects.

The volume’s setup remains unchanged:
In 10 chapters, the book relates various narratives about the City of Linz: Linz Welcome, Linz Capital, Linz Power, Linz Journey, Linz World, Linz Memory, Linz Knowledge, Linz Passion, Linz Holiday and Linz Dreaming.
The overall programming concept ranges across a spectrum bounded by Europe and the world—not least of all because the city’s past necessitates positioning Linz in a European context.
