Contemporary Dance & Performance

Six European artists—a group about as diverse as it gets—embarked on an experiment to explore the space at the nexus of movement and motionlessness, the collective and the individual, norm and exception. The stage became the scene of a mobile base camp that accommodated thes chance assemblage these performers constituted. During three residencies in Portugal, Slovenia and Linz, they created solo evenings and a group piece.
Veronika Zott, Austria, Ivo Dimchev, Bulgaria/The Netherlands, Rob Hayden, USA/Belgium, Mala Kline, Slovenia, Antje Pfundtner, Germany, and Guido Reimitz, Austria formed the co-production collective “OisNotAcCompany” specifically for this experiment with the aim of going beyond the production conditions currently prevailing in contemporary dance.
