The main deck of the Ars Electronica Center provides a stunning setting for the opening of theatre mania2: sunburn with a new piece by Wim Vandekeybus, entitled nieuwZwart.

The Flemish choreographer has been at the forefront of European contemporary dance for 20 years. Vandekeybus’s work is renowned for its intense energy and focus on movement beyond the physical vocabulary of traditional dance. This latest piece features music by Mauro Pawlowski, singer and guitarist of Deus, who will perform live accompanied by two other musicians. Wim Vandekeybus and his company Ultima Vez will also be conducting workshops as part of this year’s Academy of the Impossible. Early booking is recommended.
