Silke GRABINGER / SILK (AT/US)

Silke GRABINGER (AT) was born in 1981 in Wels. In 1997, she got involved in breakdance. During her training, she was strongly influenced by KWIKSTEP, ROCKAFELLA, Popmaster Fable, SWEP and Storm. She has been performing publicly since 2001 both as a soloist and together with Tribal Team. In 1998, she founded the world-famous b-girl crew Female Artistics and 2003 a German funkstyle crew named 4 seriaz. Her dance theater projects have include “41 Shots” and “Rumble” with Renegade Theatre. Since 2006, she has worked with Cirque du Soleil. In 2008, she began her collaboration with choreographer Roderich Madl, with whom she produced her first solo project, “slik,” which has been performed at Tanzquartier Vienna, Sommerszene Salzburg and ImPulsTanz.
