This is the third year that the OK Offenes Kulturhaus Oberösterreich is showcasing works from some of the world’s most important biennial shows of 2008. “Biennale Cuvée” opens at the OK on February 27 and moves to three other locations in mid-March.

Biennials—in addition to art expos/fairs—are today’s most important format for exhibiting contemporary art. And particularly for Asian metropolises like Taipei, Singapore, Yokohama and Gwangju, staging a biennial has emerged as an interesting way to get hooked in to the Western art scene. Accordingly, Asian biennials and artists from more than 25 countries will occupy the focal point at this year's “Biennale Cuvée” show.

The exhibition venues are the OK Offenes Kulturhaus Oberösterreich and additional locations in the vicinity of Linz’s main train station:
