Walter Putschögl

Born 1957 in Linz. Degree and post-graduate studies – graduated as Doctor of Law at the Johannes Kepler University Linz. 1982 started work with Dachstein-Fremdenverkehrs-AG, 1990 employed by National Tourist Board in Upper Austria, today known as ‘Oberösterreich Tourismus’.

1990-1996 Manager of the Interessentenbeitragsstelle (~Office in charge of collecting tourism-related fees from interested parties) and as such solely responsible for the development of the organisational unit. 1996-2002 managing director-representative of the National Tourist Board, responsible for the entire commercial division. Additional responsibilities in daughter companies of the National Tourist Board: authorised representative of Oberösterreich Werbung GmbH, advisor for Oberösterreich Touristik GmbH and management board of Oberösterreich Tourismus Technologie GmbH.

2003-2005 Commercial director of ‘Oberösterreich Tourismus’ (Upper Austria Tourism).
